Partnership

& Strategy

Vagus PR was brought on by Bettie Bomb, the national PR firm representing the St. Johns Cultural Council (SJCC), as the local agency partner leading grassroots media relations, press coordination, and community storytelling. Our goal was to amplify SJCC’s impact and elevate cultural programming across St. Johns County by supporting major initiatives like the Kelsey Montague mural unveiling in Hastings, the Black Heritage Trail, ROWITA Awards, Art in Public Spaces, the James Beard Dinner, and the St. Augustine Food & Wine Festival.

Through targeted outreach and impactful storytelling, Vagus PR turned these initiatives into must-cover stories across Northeast Florida. From orchestrating the press event for a new public art installation by Kelsey Montague — the internationally acclaimed artist behind Taylor Swift’s iconic “Angel Wings” mural — to elevating the cultural and historical importance of SJCC’s programs, our efforts drove significant media visibility, community engagement, and strengthened SJCC’s role as a leader in arts and heritage.
